A Ceremony for Uncertain Times

Join Ruth Ben-Tovim & Lucy Neal as we honour Culture Declares Emergency – a movement that galvanised the sector
Thursday 28 May, 1.30pm – Register here
Seven years ago, Culture Declares Emergency was born, of the breaking hearts and fierce visions of a group of artists. A horse with rider swathed in a living grass coat led a collective of 60 artists-activists across London. Soon after, over 1,800 creatives and cultural venues had declared a climate & ecological emergency.
We are so proud of the ripples we have caused. Today, like many, we face an uncertain future. Funding is increasingly precarious. Yet one thing is certain: we trust in what will continue to sprout from the very fertile soil that we have cultivated over the years.
This is a moment to take stock: to re-gather for what is to come for CDE UK CIC.
Join some of CDE’s co-founders, Ruth Ben-Tovim and Lucy Neal, as we look back at our movement and hold space for reflection, gratitude, and emergence.
