SYSTA provides ART4CHANGE workshops and resources using art, science and activism communicating participants fears and hopes and inspiring positive action for a just and sustainable future for people and planet.
Declaration
I believe the arts have a vital role to play in our well-being and to communicate important issues. As an artivist and Director of SYSTA I run projects for the benefit of the community, reinvesting any profits into workshops and resources for schools, home educators, companies and community groups using art and science to address the Climate Emergency. I put sustainable practices at the heart of my work, in both the making of it and its themes. I collaborate and share knowledge and resources as together we, and our message, are stronger. I feel anxious that we have already lost people, animals and environments globally to the climate and ecological crises, but I believe there is HOPE. Through resilience, regeneration, recirculation, activism, artivism, future thinking, collaboration, responsibility, opportunity, innovation, adaptation, cooperation, open mindsets, and climate justice confronting inequality and oppression that sustain climate vulnerability.
