News of the Development of the Alliance of Declaring Movements

Update on the development of the Alliance of Declaring Movements and a review of Create for Tomorrow conference, a joint event between the Barbican and the Mayor’s Climate team for London Climate Action Week
Michael Pawlyn and Bridget McKenzie represented the Alliance of Declarers, convened by CDE, at the Create for Tomorrow conference on 1st July. This was a joint event between the Barbican and the Mayor’s Climate team for London Climate Action Week. It followed a ‘story of change’ workshop with other initiatives in the Alliance of Declarers, which had generated this proposed call to action to the cultural sector and beyond.
This is a work in progress, we invite your views on this call to action and on what a joint ‘story of change’ should be with other declarers and allied movements.
The Alliance will meet again at 9am on 15th September 2022 to address the following:
- Finalise the Alliance of Declarers Call To Action (see above)
- How do we turn this into action? I.e. discuss a joint action under a hashtag campaign to take place online and possibly in-person nationally
- Who is missing?
- Discuss any further movement-building interventions, i.e. a fully facilitated Theory Of Change Workshop?
