Declaration
For my final master's project, I carried out a creative arts-based final project, based on the study of ecomusicology, which is a field of study that has formed in the response to the environmental crisis, and looks at the interrelationship between nonhuman and human sound worlds. My project looked at the creative responses that were made as a result of the English enclosures, because these responses often provided localised accounts of what happened during the enclosures. These poems and folk songs are particularly prevalent today, because they tell us so much of what it is like to lose the nature around us as we face our own environmental crises.
