Declaration
My name is Arabel Lebrusan I’m an artist and jeweller. For the last 25 years, I have been creating work that would fit in one of these 2 worlds, or on both at the same time. I started working as a fashion jewellery designer in my late 20s and through my travels I saw the ins and out of commerce between east and west, becoming aware of the unsustainable business model of capitalism. I became intimate with the terrible conditions and pollution that the world of manufacturing in general, and jewellery specifically, was generating. Since then I have been campaigning to make the jewellery world more ethical and sustainable, and through this inspiration I have created social commentaries with my artworks. I'm joining this declaration to create change and inspire others. We are stronger together!
