Culture Declares UK is seeking a new National Coordinator.
Start Date and Duration: September 2025 x 9 months (Contract End May 2026 with possibility to extend depending on funding)
Fee: £800/month x 9 months (one day a week)

About Culture Declares Emergency (CDE): Join a vibrant international community of arts and culture champions seeking justice and driving action on the climate and ecological emergency through truth-telling, care-taking, and change-making. CDE UK supports our global network with a collaborative structure and a dedicated Community Interest Company (CIC).
We are organised globally around place-based Hubs. There are around eight Hubs in cities or regions of the UK. CDE UK aims to be a pillar and ally for its nurtured global movement.

The National Coordinator provides the point of connection and organised mind for CDE UK’s work. Working alongside and supported by passionate volunteers, the role will involve:
- Central Coordination & Administration: Managing communication flow, organising meetings, supporting Hub growth, and contributing to strategic development.
- Finance & Fundraising: Managing budgets and invoices, collaborating on fundraising strategies and bids, and contributing to reporting.
- Projects & Representation: Supporting project development (potential for more paid hours), representing CDE UK with allies, and helping organise events and campaigns.
- CIC Governance: Overseeing essential administrative tasks
About the Person: You are a strategic thinker with strong organisational and relational skills. You are driven by a passion for the role of culture in addressing the Earth crisis. You thrive in collaboration and are a clear communicator. You will need:
- A good understanding of the arts and cultural sector and the role of creative and cultural practice in addressing the climate and ecological emergency.
- Proven organisational and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with finance and ideally fundraising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You will need to be proactive and able to synthesise information strategically.
