Polly Gifford
I am a freelance consultant, curator and project manager working across art forms and scales of project. I am based on the South East Coast of England and am one of the Coordinators of the CDE SE Coastal Hub. I am also Co-Chair of Hastings City of Sanctuary, and Director of the annual Sanctuary Festival. I joined CDE just after it launched in 2019, and have helped shape the current strategy and also lead on fundraising.
Declaration
My vision is that creativity is part of everyone’s life and contributes to a fairer world.
My mission is to create, facilitate and deliver projects with people and communities that make change.
We cannot build a fairer world if we are battling climate and ecological breakdown on every front, itself caused by generations of inequality. Tackling climate change starts with pursuing climate justice.
I believe that culture and creativity have a vital role to play - through telling new stories and honouring diverse cultures. I will contribute to this through my own work, and through supporting others through CDE.
