Culture Declares Kirklees
We are a local network of Culture Declares Emergency in West Yorkshire. We support each other in developing declarations in our own spheres of influence, and take collaborative action across Kirklees in response to the climate and ecological emergency
Declaration
— We will Tell the Truth about the emergency and communicate with citizens across our diverse
communities about the changes that are needed
— We will support the aims of the global movement Culture Declares and support each other in developing declarations of climate and ecological emergency in our own spheres of influence, across Kirklees
— We will work together to deliver shared outcomes and will collaborate in reducing carbon emissions from our respective individual and organisational activities
— We will support demands for more democracy within our civic institutions and government and,
in doing this we will actively amplify a diversity ofvoices
