Kelly Hill
Declaration
Kelly is an experienced editorial and fine art photographer based in London. Kelly grew up on the Thames Estuary and went on to study Theatre at Warwick University. After graduating, she worked on documentaries for Channel Four based in London, India and Hong Kong. She spent four years in Asia writing, researching and photographing for the Channel 4, South China Morning Post, RTHK, Ogilvy & Mather and the Body Shop before returning to London to work on multimedia projects with Imagination, One World Online, Leagas Delaney and the First Information Group. After living in New York with her husband, the architect Michael Pawlyn and their two children, she studied Photography at Central Saint Martins, followed by a part-time MA in Photography at the London College of Communications. Her ‘Time-stilled, Space-slowed’ project was short-listed for the prestigious Terry O’Neill Award, received an Art’s Council / Rhubarb Rhubarb Bursary and was exhibited in London at Flowers Gallery East. Currently based in Camden she combines commissioned work for editorial and design with personal work for exhibitions and publication. Kelly belongs to Culture Declares Emergency a growing community of creative practitioners and organisations concerned about the dire state of our living planet. Since launching in April, almost 400 individuals and organisations have ‘declared’ emergency as part of a movement demanding systemic change to support life on Earth.
