CDE Kirklees
A diverse network in West Yorkshire, spanning all dimensions of culture. We collaborate to take action in response to the climate and ecological emergency.
Across the towns of Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Marsden, and Meltham, and everywhere inbetween, we bring people together across differences of generation, heritage, gender, class and abilities. We take action in various forms and media:
- Pop-up Climate Emergency Hub – connecting with local people
- Kirklees Cuckoo – co-creating a 40m public artwork of a locally endangered species
- Fartown Forest Garden – co-creating a community space in an abandoned orchard.
We welcome involvement from across the full range of arts and culture including art, music, film, dance, theatre, design, horticulture, museums, libraries, faith groups, learners, educators, and participatory practices.
