ASSEMBLE with Scarborough Museums and Galleries

Assemble is a series of weekly creative workshops exploring climate using museum collections, from our emerging Scarborough hub and Scarborough Museums and Galleries.

Each week, the workshop will use a different theme to creatively delve into the museum’s collections to explore climate change.

Open to all and free to attend – no booking required, just turn up! The workshops are held at:

Explore 19th century seaweed albums from the Scarborough Museums collections. Learn more about species of seaweed and have a go at poetry and mark making.

Discover some of the landscape paintings from the Scarborough Museums collections and use natural materials to explore environments around us.

Inspired by the taxidermy crab from the Scarborough Museums collections, we invite you to join us to discuss the health of our oceans and the local crustacean community!

What are our clothes made from? Be inspired by the textile collection to explore materials and meaning, and have a go at making patches.
