Culture Declares Emergency

Would you consider joining our collective journey of declaration and action in the face of climate and ecological emergency?

We are Culture Declares Emergency (CDE), a growing international movement of individuals and organisations in arts and culture who have declared a climate and ecological emergency. We collaborate to tell truths, take action, and seek justice to address our Earth Crisis.  Launched in 2019, our collective imagination now includes the creative voices of cultural practitioners, artists, crafters, performers, educators, producers, and venues across the UK and also with international hubs in India, Australia, the US, Germany and Spain.

You don’t need to prove you have a perfectly clean eco-footprint to Declare. Nobody does. Declaring can be the start of your journey of commitment to our planet.

By declaring, you will add strength to our movement by showing your support for our shared Vision, Mission and Values.  You will be added as a Declarer on our website, be able to access CDE resources and support and connect with other Declarers in your area or with those who share your vision, practice or offering.

But aside from that, the journey you take is up to you. Whether you make your Declaration loud and proud or use it as a more personal impetus for action is your choice.
